Smoothies

The girl child and I have been sharing a smoothie every day for a few weeks now. Its kind of a nice way to start the day.

Both of my kids are small and eat like birds, so I’m always happy to find a healthy way to get more calories in. My girl is a weirdo though, she loves food but only on her terms, brand new foods go in, food she’s had within the last week? Not so much.

The exception being cheesecake, cheesecake ALWAYS goes into the girl!

So in my attempt to be healthier I started making myself a big fruit and oat yogurt smoothie everymorning. Just winging it with ingredients. My 18 month old always sat on my lap and sipped, so I started making extra for her, and then tried putting it in her own cup.

Um nope. It must be mommy’s smoothie, from a big glass and drank on her lap. Actually now that I dared offend her with her own cup she needs to be in total control of the cup! How dare I?

Thats just how she rolls.

Back when I was allowed to hold the cup.

At the start

I’m about 3 years into learning to sew, 6 months into learning to embroider, 7 years into crocheting and always looking for a new thing to keep my hands busy.

We’re buying our first house. A weird little house on an acre of land close enough to the highway that my city boy husband doesn’t feel trapped and far enough into the country that I’m dreaming of dogs, chickens and maybe a goat down the road. Trying not to get too excited because I know that it’s not 100% until we have the keys and all.

I’m working on opening my Etsy store, and plan on sharing crafts, recipes and all that fun stuff here.
