Father’s Day

Sooo… For fathers day I got my husband chicks!

Actually that happened on Saturday. I went to the poultry swap and got myself 7 chicks.
We’re still in our apartment.

HAPPY FATHER’S DAY BRAD! Here’s livestock!

In all fairness I also got him booze:

That makes up for it right?

We went to the pool and got Mexican food…

It was a good day.

My husband puts up with a lot, and I love him a ton.
(More on the chicks later 😜)

Favorite Patterns!

I’ve been sewing so much I thought I’d share here. I love Brindille & Twig for kids patterns.

onesie dress!
raglan dress!

I’ve also enjoyed sewing with The Cottage Mama’s patterns too.

The Party Dress!

For myself I’ve just been using Stitch Upon A Time. The Scrundies and Brazi are two things all women need! SOOO comfy!

first attempt at the Brazi dress!
crossover nursing brazi top!

I only just started sewing grown up clothes. It’s really hard! So much fabric to manage. But it’s so nice to have clothes that fit and especially the nursing tops- so much cheaper to make them!

Now I just need to find good patterns for little boys! I only have hooded shirt patterns for the boy child!

Lace

I have a new obsession…. free standing lace on my embroidery machine. It’s time consuming and tricky but the end results are so worth it. When I get a little better at this I’ll be putting these little decor items in my shop but for now…

a little funky shape wise but i’ll get better

Love these frames! Most of my patterns are from Urban Threads. They have such fun patterns and I’ve yet to find one that doesn’t stitch out well!

I use a Brother SE400 sewing/embroidery machine and an older Kenmore sewing machine for heavy duty projects. My Kenmore is kind of neat because it uses CAM disks.

It’s harder then I thought it’d be to sew and have kids. When we move I hope to have a little more room to sew at night (right now my sewing area is where the girl child sleeps). They want to “help” which means I make them put on glasses and they sit on my lap and nothing gets done! Haha!
