So anyways…

Since we are apparently not moving up in the world and staying in the apartment a little longer I’m sucking it up and getting my store going sans house.

This week I’ve…

Realized how sad adulthood is. Do you even want to know how excited I got about this dish rack???

Super geeky excited.

And I finished my first Mandala for Wink.

Zooty Owl pattern! If you are a crocheter and hadn’t heard the tragic news about one of our own- Wink from A Creative Being lost her fight with depression. I’ve always admired her talent and I’m working on my second Mandala- one of hers, this week.

Have a good week everyone!

Tiny Farm Yard

i dug out my sewing machine yesterday I have been trying to sew. Trying. Hazel goes all Xena Warrior Princess whenever I turn it on.

The chickens are proving to be slightly more work then I anticipated. But in a good way!

Hazel loves them, there are only 4 that tolerate her of the 7 though… Haha.

The jersey Giants- Jitters and Jinx, love her now that they realized she’s usually got food on her. They’re really more like Labradors then chickens.

Then Olive. She’s going through an independent streak but still seems to love Hazel.

I love my little Olive bird.

And of the olive eggers…

Opal is turning quite sweet. She’s getting her feathers and is a little too uncomfortable to be touched much. But she still engages with us and seems to enjoy our company more then the others.

My other three- Penny, Gambit and Peanut, are not unfriendly but are still nervous. I’m working on it but the kids are too loud for them right now.

Chickens are definitely more fun then I thought they’d be. They have more personality and are smarter then I imagined.
I’m totally in love!

Housing

UPDATE: looks like our house fell through- another year of apartment coming our way! ARG!

It looks like we’ll be ending our apartment lives here soon and beginning housing.

Housing instead of apartmenting. Yeah?

I’ve gained new respect for my mom since we had kids and started moving. SERIOUSLY HARD TO PACK FOR KIDS!

I keep “almost” packing then realizing that the kids need that. Or I DO pack, realize we need sh*t and unpack. Like my sewing machine!

welcome back sewing machine!

And even though its 98% certain that by the end of next week we’ll have a house it’s still hard to take it seriously and get my rear in gear.
I seriously suck at adulting.

I don’t think I’ll miss our apartments, but some of the memories…

Eddie spent his 1st 2 years here!
his firsts were all here…
but it was too small.
we moved here, 4th floor walk up
eddie’s first bedroom to himself!
we became a family of 4 here

Okay, maybe I’m a little more attached then I thought.
